The Church Development Ministry Team recommends where new churches are to be planted and works with funding support, searches for and coordinates the acquisition of new church sites and organizing pastors, nurtures each new congregation until chartered and recommends readiness for chartering, and provides support and annual reviews of new church pastors. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Launching Congregations: Develop a network of congregations that are committed to church planting sharing existing staff and members. Develop pastoral leadership:  Look for ways to involve known groups of pioneers and cooperate with other PC (USA) congregations to found new churches. Seek pastors that bring a vision for a new congregation in a particular place to a particular group of people. Adopting Congregations: Develop ethnic fellowships and seek out existing fellowship, providing support and development. These groups depend upon leadership by persons in their own culture and language. Maximizing Congregations: Develop churches inside of churches and/or help existing congregations "move to the next level" in their life and ministry by helping conceive of new ministry initiatives and staffing to accomplish success.
