Joan Hill serves as Bookkeeper for Seattle Presbytery, as well as serving as Finance Administrator and Coordinator for North Puget Sound Presbytery. At the beginning of each  year she takes a class to pass her IRS testing so that she can continue to volunteer her time doing taxes for Seniors through AAPR. She is also involved with a group bringing together Cascade View Presbyterian Church, Cascade High School and North Puget Sound Presbytery working together on a Pea Patch Garden. Food that is raised in this garden is given to feed the hungry in the local area. She divides her Sundays between Turning Point Church in Marysville and St Andrews in Arlington.
